The IP&SEN Mentor Scheme

Looking for some support in developing inclusive practices?

Contact [email protected] giving a brief description of your situation and needs. You’ll be put directly in touch with a suitable mentor who can:

  • offer advice and suggestions (tips, resources, books)
  • help you find the necessary local specialists to help you
  • role play difficult conversations with you

Please remember your mentor is a real person – with a job and commitments – so he or she will not always be able to get back to you immediately, but they will be there to support you whenever they can.

Of course every situation and student with SEND is different, so your mentor will not be able to make a formal assessment or offer “one size fits all” solutions.

Want to offer your expertise and experience to support colleagues? Contact us to volunteer as a mentor! [email protected]

By sending an email requesting a mentor (or offering your services as a mentor) you are giving IATEFL IPSENSIG committee members the authorisation to forward your email address and email describing your situation and needs onto an appropriate mentor / mentee.
